Model Thanh Hang walks the runway to showcase designer Adrian Anh Tuan’s new collection, "Cham" (Touching). The collection marks the opening of the Vietnam International Fashion Week in Ho Chi Minh City on Dec. 21. Tuan is well known for women’s ready-to-wear designs which were introduced at multiple fashion shows at home and abroad.

Model Vu Thu Phuong wears outfits inspired by traditional Vietnamese style. According to Le Thi Quynh Trang, president of the fashion week, the event, themed "Shining Life," will bring hope and optimism to attendees. "It’s time for us tostandtogether to help the Vietnamese fashion industry, which has been negatively affected by the pandemic, to overcome tough times. I believe Vietnamese fashion will revive strongly," Trang said.

Model Phuong Anh poses in a nude off-the-shoulder gown and face shield. The fashion week was supposed to take place at a venue in District 1, later used as a quarantine facility for Covid patients. Organizers later changed the location to a new venue in District 3.

Model Che Nguyen Quynh Chau wears a white shirt with a cape. The fashion event will include charity auctions for designs to raise funds toward providing medical supplies to Covid-19 treatment facilities and supporting needy people and children orphaned by Covid-19 in Ho Chi Minh City. Vietnam International Fashion Week was first held in 2014, and quickly became the leading fashion event in ASEAN.
