Exactly 91 years after the 1931 launch of the now iconic Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso watch, the Swiss brand from the Vallee de Joux, unveils a new, perfectly sized Reverso Tribute Duoface Calendar watch with triple calendar complication and releases a new campaign and film, entitled A New Turn, starring actress Anya Taylor-Joy and actor Nicholas Hoult. The film celebrates the Reverso and the “Butterfly Effect” while juxtaposing scenes such as a raindrop as it joins others to form a waterfall, or a seed that becomes a tree.

Originally created for Polo players looking for a timepiece that wouldn’t break if hit during a match, Reverso is a double-sided watch case that is cradled in a base and can easily be pushed out and swiveled around to protect the dial. Although, over the years and the many iterations of the Reverso, some models actually feature a different dial on each side for versatility over the original “protection” use. Such is the case with the newest Reverso Tribute Duoface Calendar watch.

Now, the newest Reverso Tribute Duoface Calendar, with triple calendar functions, is unveiled in both 18-karat rose gold and in stainless steel. The 49.4mm x 29.9mm watch offers the hours, minutes, day, date, month and moon phases on one dial and a second time-zone indication and day/night indication on the reverse dial. The dial and strap colors are also different, with the stainless steel version boasting a silver grained main dial and a blue sunray dial for the reveres side and the rose gold version featuring a silver sunray dial for the main dial and a gray sunray for the reverse.

Both watches are sold with interchangeable Fagliano calf straps in two coordinated colors. The wearer can easily change the strap without the use of tools. The Fagliano straps are an incredible luxury product made by Casa Fagliano (polo boot maker) in Argentina.

Each watch is powered by the Jaeger-LeCoultre Caliber 853 mechanical manual-wind movement with 42 hours of power reserve. Conceived of and created entirely in house, the caliber 853 is hand finished to exacting details that will never be seen by the wearer, including mirror-polished screws, chamfered edges, Geneva stripe bridges and more.

Actor Nicholas Hoult has been a brand ambassador for five years, since 2017, and the 33-year-old British actor has been playing roles in film since he was a boy. In the campaign he wears the new 18-karat rose gold Reverso Tribute Calendar watch. Actress Anya Taylor-Joy, 26, only recently joined the Jaeger-LeCoultre family. She has starred in The Witch 2016), The Queen’s Gambit (Netflix 2020), Last Night in Soho, The Northman and more, and is currently filming the Mad Max prequel, Furiosa. In the campaign, she wears the Reverso Duetto Calendar in 18-karat rose gold.
